The MAC is an outside organization, separate and distinct from AA, Al-Anon, or any other 12-step groups. The MAC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from club membership. The MAC membership is open to all and is independent of any of the various groups that pay rent to the MAC to help defray operational expenses. MAC members include alcoholics and addicts attending AA meetings, the family and friends in recovery attending Al-Anon meetings and all other 12-step groups at the club who support the objectives of the MAC.
